Tips to extend the life of your fresh cut flowers when making your bouquet in a vase.
- Make sure that you always use a sharp knife when cutting flowers & slice a 45 degree angle.
- Remove all lower foliage that would sit in the water which also prevents the water from smelling bad.
- Use lukewarm water & change the water every 2 days also cutting a couple of inches off the stems.
- Be sure to keep the flowers out of direct sunlight.
- 1. Crush one aspirin & add to the water before placing your flowers into the water
- 2. Add a spoon full of sugar to the water and mix well before placing flowers into the water.
3. Try a copper penny, drop it into the bottom of the water before placing flowers into the water.
- Have fun & remember to keep your bouquet away from the sun;)
